around the world . Extensive information is available on marine forecasts

Data from both satellite/radar- and buoy-derived sources are available.
There are also links to severe weather, hurricane, and even ice & iceberg

This is the Satellite Observing
System [SATOBSYS] website. This site offers a wealth of information on sea
surface wave heights derived from satellite remote sensing technology. High quality
marine statistics and climatology are contained in the WAVSAT section of the
site and satellite real-time monitoring of sea state conditions are available
to registered visitors via the WWWaves section. The site is filled with interesting
technical information and discussions of ongoing research projects and is perfect
for those with a scientific curiosity. Consultation and communications services

Inc. is a private consulting company serving the coastal and ocean engineering

technology and experience. The site provides current marine data for
a broad range of areas throughout the world and an explanation of the

The information provided on this site is derived from Rutgers
University's Coastal Ocean Observation Lab, also referred to as RU
COOL [no kidding!!!] The site focuses much attention on bio-physical
processes in the coastal ocean, as well as collecting real-time data
for adaptive sampling. The general areas of study lie within the waters
off New Jersey, the West Florida Shelf, and Lake Michigan. The site is
steered towards education, current research, and updates, though the
site does contain some interesting data derived from satellite technology

This is a NOAA website associated with the World Meteorological Organization's
[WMO] Voluntary Observing
Ship [VOS] Program. This International scheme utilizes ships plying
the various oceans and seas of the world, as recruited by National Meteorological
Services (NMSs), for acquisition and transmission of meteorological observations.
The site has numerous links to appropriate marine meteorological topics
