What is The International SeaKeepers Society?

SeaKeepers is a global registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to ocean conservation. Our initiatives rely on the energy and generosity of people around the world who share our concern for the health of the oceans and, by extension, the survival of our planet. 

Our core initiative is the DISCOVERY Program, which facilitates marine research and ocean education through partnerships with the boating and academic communities. We coordinate scientific and educational expeditions through the generosity of vessel owners willing to contribute their time and expertise.

SeaKeepers community engagement program connects volunteers, ocean advocates, and industry leaders through hands-on conservation efforts, networking opportunities, and educational experiences. Our initiatives include shoreline cleanups, industry functions, boat show events, internships, and more to promote marine conservation and inspire community action.

SeaKeepers hosts free monthly shoreline cleanups in through all four chapters in North America, Asia, the United Kingdom, and the South Pacific. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join. Check our cleanup schedule for upcoming events and locations.

SeaKeepers participates in major marine industry events, including the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), Miami International Boat Show, Palm Beach International Boat Show, Auckland Boat Show, Singapore Yacht Show,  Monaco Yacht Show, amongst so many others. Yes, SeaKeepers offers an internship program to students and young professionals with the chance to gain hands-on experience in marine science, marketing, operations, conservation, and event coordination. Interns assist with cleanups, educational outreach, research projects, and industry events. Reach out to info@seakeepers.org to learn about any open positions.
