SeaKeepers at the Ultramarine Ocean Action Summit
Necker Island, BVI
April 8 - 11, 2025
Overview
On April 8 - 11, 2025, SeaKeepers’ Program Development Manager, Aubri Keith, attended the Ultramarine Ocean Action Summit on Necker Island, a gathering of ocean leaders, scientists, adventurers, and entrepreneurs committed to driving bold, collaborative change for the ocean. The summit featured a mix of interactive panels, field excursions, and intimate discussions designed to break down silos and foster actionable solutions. Aubri participated as a panelist, speaking on the importance of culture and community in mobilizing marine conservation efforts. Drawing from her experience connecting the yachting community with marine scientists through SeaKeepers’ DISCOVERY Program, she emphasized how storytelling and cultural relevance can amplify the impact of science and inspire broader participation.
Throughout the summit, Aubri engaged with a range of change-makers working across disciplines, from reef restoration to blue finance, and explored new strategies for integrating citizen science, indigenous knowledge, and creative media into SeaKeepers’ programming. Her presence at Ultramarine helped expand SeaKeepers’ network of potential collaborators and strengthened the organization’s role as a connector between science, policy, and the private sector in ocean conservation.
